We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Platform Engineer – Azure & Kubernetes to support and maintain mission-critical cloud infrastructure and production environments. As part of our growing operations in the UAE, this role is essential for ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of production platforms hosted on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
Job Description
The Site Reliability Engineer / Platform Engineer will be responsible for providing L2/L3 technical support, managing cloud infrastructure, contributing to DevOps automation, and supporting cybersecurity operations, including the investigation and remediation of security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations & Support
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for production environments hosted on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and reliability.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical incidents within established service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in on-call support and critical incident management.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve platform stability.
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Azure services and Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage application deployments, infrastructure upgrades, backups, and configuration changes.
- Improve infrastructure performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with operational and security standards.
Cybersecurity Operations
- Act as a technical point of contact for cybersecurity alerts raised by Security Operations Center (SOC) teams.
- Perform initial triage, investigation, containment, remediation, and follow-up of security incidents.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and operations teams to resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Support vulnerability assessments, remediation planning, implementation, and validation.
- Manage and monitor security tools, including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security Center, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Implement security hardening measures across cloud platforms, servers, containers, and applications.
- Contribute to cybersecurity audits, compliance reviews, penetration testing, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and incident response procedures.
- Ensure the timely resolution of security-related actions in accordance with applicable security requirements.
DevOps & Automation
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate operational, infrastructure, and security tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Support application deployments, release management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Cloud Operations
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- DevOps Engineering
- System Administration
- Platform Support
- Infrastructure Operations
- Junior to Mid-Level professionals with relevant technical exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Strong motivation to learn and develop new technical skills.
Required Technical Skills
- Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure Administration.
- Container Orchestration: Kubernetes, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Operating Systems: Linux System Administration.
- CI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jenkins.
- Monitoring & Observability: Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Networking: DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Cybersecurity: Security incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation.
- Security Tools: Microsoft Defender Suite, Microsoft Sentinel, or equivalent SIEM solutions.
- Identity & Security: Identity and Access Management (IAM), security hardening, and compliance best practices.
Preferred Certifications

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Microsoft SC-200: Security Operations Analyst
