Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end system integration across the global market technology landscape, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Lead global markets technology integration initiatives.
- Act as central coordinator across architecture, infrastructure, application teams, and external vendors.
- Evaluate and define integration patterns (API, FIX, MQ, file-based) appropriate to each system and use case.
- Lead technical evaluation of vendor solutions, including issuing and responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
- Create detailed integration documentation, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Engage with external vendors to assess product capabilities, negotiate integration requirements, and manage delivery timelines.
- Maintain ongoing vendor relationships and track product roadmaps to anticipate integration impacts.
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in system integration within financial markets (buy-side, sell-side, or vendor).
- Proven experience integrating external platforms into a bank’s ecosystem.
- Strong experience with integration protocols: FIX, REST/SOAP APIs, MQ messaging (IBM MQ), SFTP.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Java, SQL, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience integrating with external platforms (trade execution, RFQ, post-trade processing, market data).
- Good understanding of cloud and connectivity patterns (Azure/AWS, VPC, private endpoints).
- Proven record leading RFP processes and vendor technology assessments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Murex exposure (not mandatory; configuration experience is optional).
- Experience integrating with post-trade systems (e.g., Calypso, Murex, others).
