Key Objective
The primary objective of a PMC Lead Static Engineer is to ensure the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of all static equipment systems. This is achieved by overseeing engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities while protecting the client’s technical and commercial interests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all static equipment engineering activities across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
- Provide technical leadership to contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, specifications, calculations, datasheets, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client standards, and international codes and standards.
- Review mechanical design calculations, material selection, corrosion allowances, and equipment layouts.
- Ensure equipment designs meet safety, reliability, operability, and maintainability requirements.
- Prepare and review Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs).
- Participate in bidder clarification meetings and vendor selection processes.
- Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing documents, and material specifications.

Expected:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Pressure Vessel Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Typically 15+ years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, offshore, or energy projects.
- Minimum 5-10 years in a lead static equipment engineering role.
- Extensive experience on major EPC, PMC, FEED, and Detailed Engineering projects.
- Proven experience through engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
- Experience managing contractor and vendor engineering activities for large-scale projects.
