Position

The company is seeking a highly qualified PMIS Functional Specialist (PMWeb) to join our team in Jeddah, SA. In this position, you will apply your expertise in the implementation of project management information systems across major client programs and contribute as an integral member of the implementation delivery team at the company in EMEA. At this level, the PMIS Functional Specialist possesses the necessary implementation experience with PMIS systems, has project management skills, technology skills, and handling experience within the project and program environment to operate independently on assigned projects while also leading a PMIS technical specialist on the job.

What You'll Be Doing
PMIS implementation tasks:

  • Responsible for the implementation, configuration, and administration of PMIS to meet client needs and our project requirements.
  • Lead requirement elicitation workshops with the company management teams on the Program. Lead information-gathering sessions with various stakeholders, analyze requirements, and engineer solutions on PMIS to meet business needs on the program.
  • Ensure the PMIS system is in line with the PMPs written by function leads and SMEs on the Program, highlighting any deviations to the program leadership team.
  • Guide PMIS Technical specialists in addressing client systems related to integration scenarios between technologies such as PMIS and ERP or PMIS and any specialist technology platforms used by the clients, must possess awareness of APIs for project managing the delivery of integration programs.
  • Be flexible enough to learn new technologies the company adopts on various implementation projects for clients. Utilize your functional skills earned on a previous market-popular PMIS platform to engineer solutions and lead PMIS implementation projects with a new PMIS technology on a new client project.
  • Implement Dashboard/report designs in Power BI as received from the program reporting manager based on the data model built by PMIS technical specialist from PMIS datasets in SSRS database or take complete ownership to build dashboard visuals and build data models in Power BI layer to enable data analysis in Power BI for our Program management team.
  • Prepare functional documentation like requirement documents, UAT scripts, and user guides to deliver training programs to the program user team.
  • Coordinate and review solutions designs with key stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day software support operations with PMIS technical specialists.

Project management Tasks:

  • Own the implementation baseline schedule and actively work on re-baselining the implementation schedules when the PMIS project is faced with new requirements.
  • Produce weekly progress reports on the PMIS implementation project and ensure the Program management team is informed of the PMIS implementation status.
  • Enforce our company implementation methodology on PMIS implementation projects and produce related documents in line with our implementation methodology.
  • Manage stakeholder relations with our clients, program leadership team, and SME/lead staff on the program; also ensure weekly and monthly touchpoints with the corporate PMIS consulting practice.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Application, IT, or from a relevant engineering field from an accredited University/ Institute.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience working on IT implementation projects handling design adoption and rollout of PMIS.
  • Experience in implementing/administering industry-leading PMIS solutions.
  • Must have experience implementing market-popular PMIS solutions like PMWeb or Unifier and preferably demonstrate proficiency in Advanced Query-Based Reporting with SSRS (PMWeb) or SQL reporting for Bi reporting (Unifier).
  • Must possess the ability to use Business Analytics tools languages such as Microsoft Power BI; it is desirable to have the ability to write DAX Queries and SQL queries for report writing.
  • Must demonstrate awareness of PMIS Technical specialists using REST APIs to build integration programs using programs such as Java, .NET.
  • Knowledge of project management and construction management environments is a must. Must possess 5+ years of experience in program experience which could be client side/IT consultancy side/program consultancy side of programs.
  • Professional level written and verbal communication skills in English. Arabic speaker is an advantage.
  • Must show experience in client-facing roles handling clients; offshore experience does not count.
