PMO Lead

About the Role:
This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a high standard of governance to ensure decisions are aligned with the organization strategy and that the strategy remains compliant with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, can connect business strategy with execution, and enjoys building collaborative structures that empower teams to deliver exceptional results.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional leaders in project management, product, service delivery, support, and operations to ensure projects are aligned with business goals and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead the Governance & PMO function: Define standards, methodologies, and tools for consistent project delivery.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure all projects and programs contribute to business goals and customer success.
• Portfolio Management: Prioritize initiatives, manage dependencies, and track overall performance.
• Budget & Benefits: Finalize yearly portfolio budgets and report performance against approved budgets; business benefits achieved for all delivered programs/projects.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Coach existing project managers, foster collaboration, and promote professional growth.
• Governance & Reporting: Provide visibility to executive leadership through dashboards, KPIs, and risk assessments. Efficiently manage C-Suite steering committees.
• Process Improvements: Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable processes to improve delivery timelines and quality.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central point of contact between executive leadership and project teams.

What We Are Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in project or program management, including 10+ years in a PMO role.
• Proven experience in a software technology-driven organization (banking and financial institutions).
• Strong knowledge of Agile and hybrid project management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
• PMO, Prince 2 or PMP certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken; other languages will be a plus.
