MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Key accountabilities include:
- Perform the high voltage / medium voltage / traction / low voltage basic engineering activities for a project or program, including:
- Provide electrical architectures, technical specifications, functional specifications and interface specifications.
- Provide calculation notes.
- Ensure technical validation of the supplier’s equipment offers.
- Conduct the high voltage / medium voltage / traction / low voltage detailed engineering activities, including:
- Follow-up and validation of technical drawings from equipment suppliers.
- Provide factory test procedures for the equipment.
- Participate in factory acceptance tests of the equipment.
- Assist the POS design Leader for coordination and interfaces with:
- The POS engineering team (including automation and installation teams).
- Other sub-systems of the project including Systems, civil works, SCADA, catenary, return current, EMC, earthing & bonding, etc.
- The customer.
- The project management team.
- Suppliers, subcontractors, and partners.
- Provide technical support to Field Operations (Installation and Test and Commissioning) teams regarding design issues.
- Participate in As-built documentation drawings modifications if requested.
- Contribute to the REX (Return of Experience) of the project/program.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
- Education: Graduate from Engineering school in electrical science
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in railway transportation
- Knowledge: Good understanding of electrical installations (high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage)
- Skills: Autonomy, motivated, initiative-driven, and interested in technical subjects
- Language: Fluent in English; Arabic/French is desirable.
