POS Developer (Java/Kotlin)

We have an immediate job opportunity for a POS Developer (Java/Kotlin) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role requires on-site, full-time engagement and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in payment transactions, online processing, and batch processing, along with hands-on experience in Android development.

Responsibilities include developing and optimizing POS applications for various Android POS and SoftPOS machines such as VeriFone, Ingenico, and PAX. Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment, writing clean and testable code, and working in a Linux environment is essential.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years in software development, including experience with POS/payment applications
• 3+ years in Implementation and DevOps support
• Proficiency in Android SDK, Java, and Kotlin
• Strong Kotlin expertise (published apps preferred)
• Experience with Gradle, Android Studio, Git, Bitbucket
• Knowledge of POS/SoftPOS devices

Preferred Knowledge:

• Payment transaction mechanisms, online processing
• MySQL and MongoDB databases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
