The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary research team at the intersection of machine learning, algorithmic fairness, human-computer interaction, and responsible AI. The project will investigate how bias emerges in data pipelines and AI systems, understand design decisions that contribute to social biases, and develop theoretical and algorithmic approaches to mitigate these biases. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing bias detection tools.
- Building fairness-aware algorithms.
- Contributing to practical guidelines and theoretical frameworks addressing systemic bias in data-driven systems.

Requirements:
- Applicants must have a PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, HCI, or a closely related field.
- A strong track record of research in areas such as algorithmic fairness, bias in machine learning, ethics in AI, or sociotechnical systems is essential.
- Strong programming and data analysis skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in interdisciplinary research.

Compensation and Benefits:
