Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Engineering

The Sustainable and Innovative Transport Demand (SIT-D) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a postdoctoral associate to conduct studies on the use of Immersive Virtual Reality to elicit users’ preferences for innovative transport systems. Applicants with a background in behavioral analysis and mathematical modelling are encouraged to apply.

Research in the SIT-D lab focuses on understanding and modelling consumers' behavior and decision processes for sustainable transport modes and transport innovations. This interdisciplinary research involves behavioral economics, psychology, neuroscience, and computer science within the transport domain.

Responsibilities:

• Build experiments to understand user decision processes for innovation.
• Collect neurophysiological and other relevant data.
• Program and analyze data routines.
• Quantitatively analyze the collected data.

Requirements:

• A PhD degree or equivalent in a field related to behavioral analysis and mathematical modelling.
• Demonstrated experience with neurophysiological measurements, data collection, and field experiments.
• Knowledge of Unity platform or Unreal Engine is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
