About the Job: The Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group in the Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of CT&T Research Group Director, Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal. The position focuses on cutting-edge research in the physical layer design of wireless communication systems, exploring enabling technologies for 6G and beyond wireless networks.

Location: New York University Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications, or a related field
  • Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications
  • Extensive experience in physical (PHY) layer algorithm design and performance analysis
  • Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to pursue independent research

In addition to the above, candidates should have prior research experience in one or more of the following topics:

  • Waveform design for emerging spectrum (FR3, MMW, sub-THz/THz)
  • Extreme massive MIMO communications
  • Analog, digital, and hybrid beamforming architectures
  • Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
  • Machine learning for wireless communications
  • Hardware-constrained signal processing for wireless communications
  • Channel modeling and characterization
