Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Science (Computer Science)

The New York University Abu Dhabi Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to contribute to various lab research areas, which include the development of open-source tools and resources, and publication of research findings. The lab focuses on artificial intelligence, specifically in natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science. Key research areas include:

• Arabic natural language processing (orthography normalization, grammatical error correction, morphology tagging, syntax parsing, readability assessment)
• Machine translation
• Text analytics
  Since its establishment in 2014, the CAMeL Lab has produced over 180 publications and 20 language resources and tools.

The position targets the rank of Post-Doctoral Associate (within 3 years of PhD) or Research Associate (more than 3 years of PhD). Candidates should hold degrees in computer science, computer engineering, computational linguistics, or related fields, with a preference for those with:

• Strong programming skills and machine learning experience
• A research publication record suitable for the hiring rank
• Knowledge of the Arabic language (preferred but not required)
• Experience in Arabic NLP (preferred but not required)

Work Conditions:
