Work Conditions:

- Position duration: Two years, with the possibility of renewal
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently lead a project aimed at developing generative AI models to establish structure-property relationships for materials discovery.
- Collaborate closely with a project team and coordinate efforts with experimentalists from the Smart Materials Lab (SML) and the Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM).
- Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at prominent conferences.
- Play an active role in other projects and activities within the Smart Materials Lab.
- Assist in supervising undergraduate or PhD students.
Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Substantial experience in AI/ML, specifically:
- AI-driven materials discovery
- Machine learning applications for materials
- Generative AI related to materials
- Proficiency in AI/ML tools (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python).
- Interest in materials applications and a strong publication record.
