Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Science (Computer Science) – Dr. Nizar Habash

The company Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to engage in various lab research areas, focusing on the development of open source tools and resources, as well as contributing to publications. The CAMeL Lab's mission is centered around research and education in artificial intelligence, particularly in the realms of natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science. The main research areas include Arabic natural language processing (orthography normalization, grammatical error correction, morphology tagging, syntax parsing, readability assessment), machine translation, and text analytics.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications:
Candidates should have (a) a degree in computer science or computer engineering with experience in natural language processing or a degree in computational linguistics/language technologies; (b) strong programming and machine learning skills; and (c) a research publication record suitable for post-doctoral rank. Knowledge of Arabic is preferred but not mandatory, and experience with Arabic NLP is a plus.
