Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the resolution of post-sales technical customer issues. Resolves post-sales technical issues through varying levels of technical support depending on the skill set required.
- Typically involves managing medium to large teams and developing expertise within the function, influencing policy, and ensuring delivery within the area of responsibility.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges to recommend best practices for improvement of products, processes, or services based on industry trends.
- Lead teams to find creative solutions in complex manufacturing processes and utilize sophisticated techniques for operational management.
- Present business or technical discipline solutions to leaders and communicate complex messages internally while influencing peers and negotiating with external partners when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic, electrical, or electromechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GEV HVDC & FACTS equipment
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy field, with 5 years dedicated to the transmission network
- Strong knowledge of transmission equipment and synchro-condenser
- Proficiency in handling special tools like pressure pumps, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes
- Ability to understand and implement technical drawings (wiring diagrams, P&ID, General Arrangement, etc.)
- Strong computer skills using MS Office Software Suite
- Fluency in English
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge and skills to actively support an outage and know where to seek answers as questions arise
- Fluency in Arabic and French is preferable
- Experience with EX2100e is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to various stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of onsite activities
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally and to work overtime
- Familiarity with instruments, controls, and PLCs for controls training
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
