Postdoctoral Associate - Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB)

The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at the company invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Associate. The successful applicant will be supervised by Dr. Dipesh Chaudhury and will use a combination of molecular and electrophysiological approaches to investigate how gene expression contributes to the rhythms in excitability and plasticity of circadian clock neurons in rodents and fruitflies.

Responsibilities:

• Handle mice and perform behavioral experiments to measure stress and cognition.
• Measure locomotor activity in mice to determine diurnal and circadian rhythms.
• Measure electrical activity in cells taken from mice's brains.
• Measure changes in gene expression in brain cells taken from mice.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• PhD in Biology or Neuroscience.
• Experience in molecular biology, electrophysiology, and animal handling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
