Postdoctoral Associate - Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB)

About the Job:

The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Associate. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Dr. Dipesh Chaudhury and will employ a combination of molecular and electrophysiological approaches to explore how gene expression impacts the rhythms of excitability and plasticity in circadian clock neurons of rodents and fruitflies.

Responsibilities:

• Handle mice and conduct behavioral experiments to measure stress and cognition.
• Measure locomotor activity in mice to assess diurnal and circadian rhythms.
• Record electrical activity in brain cells from mice.
• Analyze changes in gene expression in brain cells from mice.

Required Education:

• PhD in Biology or Neuroscience

Required Experience:

• Experience in molecular biology, electrophysiology, and animal handling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
