Postdoctoral Associate – IC Design for Self-powered Stimulation Implants

The company is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on a project aimed at developing an implantable self-powered cardiac stimulation system. This system will feature energy harvesting from heart motion, power management, wireless communication, and recording of cardiac activities.

The role involves designing, fabricating, and experimentally validating integrated circuits (ICs) that encompass various blocks, including energy harvesting, stimulation, recording, communication, and power management. Applications of this system extend to cardiac stimulation, brain stimulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop (design, implementation, and validation) the proposed IC and system components.
• Test the system in animal models.
• Work on individualized research projects under the supervision of faculty during the tenure.

Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or relevant disciplines.
• Experience with IC tape-out processes.

Preferred Experience:

• PCB design.
• Embedded software for microcontrollers.
• Animal experiments.
