Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Vision and Geospatial Analytics

This position involves engaging in research focused on Computer Vision and Geospatial Analytics in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be expected to be unemployed for the duration of the fellowship, allowing you to dedicate your time to research activities. Candidates should possess a Doctorate Degree (or an M. Sc. Degree, with a completion expected by December 2022) in relevant fields such as Physical or Atmospheric Science, Computer Science, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, along with programming experience in AI and ML modeling, data engineering, and applied mathematics.

Your role will include defining research questions, formulating hypotheses, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to develop innovative solutions. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java, as well as knowledge of data science and machine learning practices, is essential. Experience with deep learning technologies, transformer models, and computational mathematics will be considered advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in climate research.

This position is a fixed-term, entry-level employment opportunity requiring onsite work, with potential travel of up to 20% or 1 day a week.
