Power System Simulation Model Engineer

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Develop, implement, validate, and deliver simulation models to customers in tenders and projects using various power system tools to support grid optimization and renewable integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D and customers, to gather requirements for effective technical solutions.
• Create software in the loop models of real-time control functions.
• Perform testing and validation of power system models and associated tools.
• Conduct RMS simulation studies with customer networks.
• Prepare clear and structured technical documentation and reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in power system modeling.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing by supporting, training, and collaborating with colleagues throughout project execution.

Your Background:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least three years of experience in power system analysis.
• Knowledge of, or experience with, simulation tools such as RTDS, PSCAD, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB, EMTP, or Python.
• Interest in or experience with programming (e.g., C++, C#, FORTRAN, DSL, Python, MATLAB), control theory, signal processing, and dynamic modeling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage.
