About the Role
The Pre-Sales Engineer serves as the technical voice of the sales process, working closely with the client, Sales Team, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver audio-visual and integrated technology solutions. This role is responsible for solution design, technical demonstrations and proof of concepts, tender and quotation support, technical documentation, post-sales installation support, troubleshooting, and product training. The Pre-Sales Engineer provides technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, ensuring proposed solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, aligned with client requirements, and delivered within agreed timelines and standards.

Responsibilities
The Pre-Sales Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer on business strengths and areas for improvement to achieve personal and state sales targets.
  • Reviewing all quotations for accuracy, style, completeness, and fitness for purpose in line with company standards and requirements.
  • Preparing tender responses nationally as requested, including:
    • Quotation and tender pricing
    • Compliance documentation, when required
    • Supporting documentation as required
  • Liaising with tender contacts to confirm understanding of requirements and questions when necessary.
  • Collaborating with other departments, team members, subject matter experts, administrative personnel, operations, and technical personnel to obtain the information required to complete responses within set timeframes.
  • Answering technical questions, highlighting key benefits, and translating technical information into clear and easy-to-understand content.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, schematics, rack layouts, cable schedules, and other technical documentation associated with audio-visual and integrated technology solutions.
  • Interpreting and understanding technical drawings, including system schematics and cable schedules.
  • Preparing technical documentation in coordination with Project Managers, Account Executives, and Senior Technicians for review by Subject Matter Experts.
  • Demonstrating technical competency in drawing programs such as CAD and Visio.
  • Developing accurate cost estimates and quotations for design services, coordination services, and the provision and installation of audio-visual and integrated technology systems in accordance with company business rules and strategy.
  • Ensuring new and existing project bids are thoroughly reviewed and prequalified for technical suitability and commercial viability before submitting proposals and quotations.
  • Completing assigned work in a timely, methodical, and concise manner to meet the timelines and expectations of the sales process.
  • Providing detailed project and client insights, both documented and verbally, to project delivery teams during formal handover meetings to support successful project execution.
  • Maintaining document templates and tools for internal and external documents in accordance with the company style guide.
  • Developing Pre-Sales Engineering standards, including video conferencing room designs.
  • Understanding the commercial, cost, financial, and budgetary impact of proposed products and solutions and recommending appropriate options based on the overall client proposal or tender.
  • Assisting Sales and Account Managers with solutioning support, including proposal reviews, project service solutioning, and opportunity-specific costing and pricing models.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the product portfolio and future product developments by liaising with internal and external product vendors regarding technology and product updates.
  • Working directly with clients to understand and define business and technical requirements and assisting with the preparation of technical documentation where necessary.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape and client needs to effectively position proposed solutions.
  • Performing other tasks or projects as assigned to support the team in achieving its goals.

Qualifications

  • Certifications from Crestron, Extron, QSC as standard
  • At least 3 years in a pre-sales engineering role

Work Schedule & Benefits

  • Salary: Php 40,000 – Php 60,000 per month
