PreFab Solution Architect

About the Role
The modular Data Centers have been driving tremendous growth in the segment over the last few years. The PREFABRICATED DATA CENTER C&SP One Solution MEA integrates the company's products into modular enclosures, tests the systems in the factory, and delivers the final solution to the country of destination.
As a PreFab Solution Architect, you will work on projects of medium to high technical and commercial complexity. Your primary role will be to support early selling stages by providing expertise on the company's system and architecture platform. This involves understanding customer business requirements and constraints, using validated architecture designs to meet these requirements, and delivering a differentiating value proposition. You will help explain and demonstrate the technical advantages of the architecture and respond to deep technical inquiries regarding the integration and compatibility of components within an architecture, focusing mainly on Data Center Systems and Prefabricated Modular Data Centers.

Main Responsibilities

• Capitalize on in-depth knowledge of customer processes, applications, and decision criteria in the segment.
• Work closely within Europe and South America regions with Sales to offer a differentiating value proposition to the customer, leveraging the company's complete portfolio (Multi BU / Tier 3 solutions): electrical, mechanical, structural, and fire systems.
• Understand the customer's segment-specific business challenges, processes, needs, and constraints to propose the best solution.
• Support the Sales force and customers as a trusted advisor, technical consultant, and process expert to implement the company's cross-domain segment solutions.
• Define, use, customize, and create Tested, Validated & Documented Architectures (TVDA) to meet customer requirements and provide a differentiating value proposition by designing optimized architectures that fulfill functional specifications.
• Help establish solution strategies and best practices.
• Review customer RFQs and create the Compliance, Deviations, and Exceptions list.
• Influence customer RFQs and translate them into technological solutions.
• Provide complex technical designs, including technical proposals for commercial proposals.
• Coordinate internally with Business Units involved in the tendering stage.
• Capitalize on your in-depth knowledge of customer processes, applications, and decision criteria in your segment.
• Collaborate with the client and development team to recommend solutions and offer support during meetings and presentations.
• Present recommended solutions to clients for validation and improvement.
• Maintain an understanding of the company's products and demonstrate proficiency in necessary knowledge, processes, and terminology.
• Stay current on technological developments and applications to propose enhanced solutions.
• Communicate and coordinate among key stakeholders in opportunities, including customers, company entities, and factories.

Main Interactions

• Reports to the C&SP One Solution Technology and Engineering Center MEA.
• Internal: Sales Manager, Opportunity Leader, Intra Group suppliers, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality.
• External: Customers and Outside Group suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in the Data Center Industry, including Secure Power Systems, Cooling systems, Electrical and Mechanical installations.
• Certification in Uptime and/or Data Center Dynamics or demonstrated similar knowledge and experience.
• Previous customer-facing roles are preferred.
• Team-oriented with strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Results-oriented with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong influence and persuasion skills.
• Capacity for autonomy, initiative, and proactivity.
• Ability to make decisions and escalate appropriately when needed.
• Ability to foster cooperation and motivate people in a multicultural environment across different time zones.
• Knowledge of the company's products and applications: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Low voltage electrical panels, MV equipment, Cooling units, etc.
• Proficient with user-level computer tools: Uninet, SE Design Portal, ISX.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools (REVIT).
• Fluency in English (C1) is required.
