Principal Applied Scientist

As a Principal Applied Scientist in Abu Dhabi, you will spearhead research and development in AI, covering areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, and audio signal processing. You will play a crucial role in pioneering research across various facets of AI, including the creation and optimization of cutting-edge algorithms and deep learning models. Your innovative efforts will be applied to a range of practical use cases across pivotal industries such as finance, oil and gas, environmental science, and healthcare.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Own

• Engage in the design, analysis, and optimization of foundational and applied research to power state-of-the-art AI algorithms and model capabilities.
• Work on comprehensive solutions that integrate various modalities, including text, audio, and visual data.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers across teams for the design, development, and continual improvement of AI algorithms.
• Work alongside product development teams to integrate new algorithms and models into broader product offerings.
• Propose scenarios where AI techniques could improve the efficiency of the customer’s business.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the business development team.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering, or an AI-related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in developing AI algorithms for various modalities.
• Track record of conducting high-level research, preferably evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals or a history of product-driven research and development.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest developments in AI and machine learning.
• Excellent communication skills.
