Your Impact:
- Review process flow diagrams and P&IDs; understand process operation and facilitate process knowledge transfer to junior engineers.
- Lead the design, testing, and commissioning of APC applications, independently executing all phases of a control project with a team of 1-2 engineers.
- Manage multiple APC projects at different developmental stages.
- Understand process issues impacting multivariable control design and design control strategies for various processes.
- Execute controller simulation for complex problems and act as a technical lead engineer on projects.
- Assist in controller interface database and configuration.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (MS or PhD preferred). Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 8+ years of experience in Multivariable Process Control and Optimization.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Competency in multiple process units in Refining, Olefins, or Polymer processes, with experience in an Operating Company or APC Consulting Company being a plus.
- Ability to manipulate data files and understand concepts of transformation for data analysis.
- Deep knowledge of multivariable control, linear programming, and closed-loop control concepts.
- Team player with excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical and functional concepts.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time for testing and commissioning activities at client sites. No visa limitations for most countries.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in company on-line and off-line tools, as well as fluency in other languages, will be advantageous.
