We are searching for a strategic and inquisitive Principal Data Scientist. As a member of Mozn’s Data Science team, you will work with cross-disciplinary teams to identify the problems to be solved, specify these problems in mathematical and statistical terms, scope out projects/products in collaboration with your team and external stakeholders, and then answer the identified questions. You will find insights that spur teams and stakeholders to improve their business/products and drive value for internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
- Work with Mozn’s Leadership, Product, Business, and Engineering teams to enable insights and intelligent decision-making across products and projects.
- Function as a technical leader, providing directions, guidelines, and mentorship to data scientists of all levels.
- Advance core as well as applied R&D fronts through solid scientific research.
- Work with large and complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems using a combination of statistical and machine learning approaches.
- Develop quality control and pre-processing tools for a variety of data streams.
- Communicate highly technical results and methods clearly, interacting with a wide variety of external clients.
- Stay informed about developments in Data Science and adjacent fields to ensure modern yet optimal approaches are applied to the relevant problems.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other scientific fields.
- 10+ years of experience developing AI solutions.
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence foundations, including Statistical Learning Theory, Linear Algebra, Continuous Optimization, etc.
- Experience building and implementing commercial NLP solutions used in production environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in NLP techniques and algorithms, including text classification, entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and language generation.
- Proficiency in building neural network systems with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or Keras.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python programming.
- Understanding of search technologies and experience with implementing search functionality.
- Working knowledge of Computational Linguistics, Knowledge bases, and Knowledge Graphs.
