Our client is embarking on a dynamic growth trajectory and is seeking outstanding talent to own either their Cards, Payments, BaaS, or Investment platforms. As the Principal Engineer / Technical Lead, you will oversee, expand, and manage all facets of your platform area, leading and building a world-class team of engineers. You will tackle high-priority tasks and address complex issues, including launching new products from scratch while optimizing and maintaining core systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver on business objectives.
- Ensure the highest standards of software quality, security, and performance.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the platform at the cutting edge.
- Build large-scale distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Drive agile practices and promote a collaborative, high-energy work environment.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Strong experience with JVM based languages and related technologies such as CI/CD tools, containerization, queuing and streaming technologies, Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and observability tooling.
- Strong knowledge of clean coding practices, including object-oriented and event-driven programming concepts.
- Excellent understanding of financial/banking products, trading systems, and financial markets.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer in a fintech or related industry.
- Experience with back-end REST API services.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
