About the Role
As a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Ground Control Station (GCS) software, you will play a pivotal role in the development of advanced UAV programs. This position involves addressing critical aerospace projects where your expertise will significantly impact our high-stakes operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for Ground Control Station applications.
• Collaborate closely with hardware teams to ensure successful hardware/software integration.
• Design and implement software components for Flight Control Systems (FCS).
• Contribute to safety-critical development processes, adhering to relevant standards such as DO-178C.
• Participate in troubleshooting, system validation, and performance optimization.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in Embedded Software Development.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Demonstrated experience with Ground Control Station (GCS) software.
• Knowledge of Flight Control Systems (FCS).
• Experience in hardware/software integration.
• Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or VxWorks.
• Background in Aerospace, UAV, or Defence is preferred.
• Exposure to safety-critical development standards (DO-178C preferred).
