As Principal Engineer – Workplace Modernisation, you will design, develop, implement and support infrastructure solutions for the group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies. This necessitates engagement with both internal and external stakeholders while taking full responsibility for the implemented solutions and operational availability of production infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance within the technology domain.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Architecture Guiding Principles.
  • Lead corporate IT Standards, analysing and understanding the potential impact of competing technologies.
  • Ensure implemented solutions meet service level requirements in terms of availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability.
  • Publish and maintain high-quality documentation for the technology area.
  • Lead solution and technical design review, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Manage, direct, inspire, and coach the work and capability of operational resources as required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) and 8+ years of total experience.
  • Experience managing and administering Microsoft Teams Room Systems.
  • Expert knowledge of video walls, meeting rooms, and audio/visual technologies.
  • Proven experience in senior stakeholder management and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring user-friendly, high-quality implementations.
  • Track record in successful large-scale implementation and adoption of technologies.
