Key Responsibilities
- Assist in integrating payload systems into UAVs, including mounting, wiring, and configuration to ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct ground testing of UAV systems such as payloads, sensors, avionics, and communication systems.
- Support flight test preparation and execution, ensuring systems are fully operational.
- Operate and monitor test equipment during testing and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to review test plans and readiness.
- Maintain and prepare test setups, ensuring calibration and functionality of equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with vocational training in mechanical technology preferred and 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in integration and testing is required, along with familiarity with UAV systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of adhesive bonding and composite assembly methods is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and teamwork skills are critical.
- Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving ability in troubleshooting fabrication or system issues.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement is expected.
- Certifications in LEAN, 3P, or 5S are an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required.
Operating Environment
- Work in a hands-on, high-security environment, including remote or restricted locations.
- Participate in flight test missions, supporting pre-flight and post-flight activities.
- The role may require extended standing, lifting equipment, and working with machinery.
- Use of PPE is mandatory.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
