The Principal Lead, Data Governance Enablement, will play a critical role in leading the effective execution of the enterprise-wide data governance strategy. This includes driving adoption of data governance standards, facilitating business engagement, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Champion data ownership, stewardship, and quality practices across the bank to support trusted information for business decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Focus on translating the data governance strategy into actionable programs and processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Ensure effective utilization of data governance tools and frameworks to enhance data management capabilities across all business units and international locations.
Responsibilities
- Drive the execution of the data governance enablement agenda, aligning with the bank’s strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.
- Lead engagement with business and functional data owners to embed accountability for data assets.
- Develop and maintain data governance playbooks, guidelines, and processes for consistency across the bank.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the bank’s data governance capabilities.
- Support operationalizing AI-augmented data governance using next-gen tools to automate data lineage and monitoring across hybrid environments.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models.
- Advanced knowledge of data management principles and regulatory data requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior leadership levels.
- Proficiency with data governance tools and strong analytical skills to translate policies into actionable programs.
- Ability to lead cross-functional change initiatives and drive data literacy across the organization.
