ABOUT THE ROLE
The Principal Maintenance Manager is a senior technical leadership role overseeing the maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of advanced radar and EW systems. You’ll lead specialized engineering and technical teams, drive preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis, and oversee system upgrades, integration, and calibration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning: Develop long-term reliability programs and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to maximize radar uptime and minimize unexpected operational downtime.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and mechanics specialized in microwave, RF (radio frequency), and digital signal processing systems.
  • Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, forecast CapEx for major hardware upgrades, and manage supplier or vendor contracts for specialized radar components.
  • Technical Oversight: Direct root-cause failure analyses to quickly troubleshoot hardware, software, or calibration anomalies and restore operational status.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce rigorous safety regulations, defense standards (e.g., MIL-STD), and quality control protocols for high-voltage and RF radiation zones.
  • Systems Integration: Coordinate the installation, testing, and calibration of new radar installations and legacy upgrades.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in maintenance and deployment of radar or EW systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s or a Ph.D. degree is a plus with preference given to the highest qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of RF principles and radar theory, including phased array and AESA technology.
  • Proficiency with maintenance software and tools.
  • Strong insight on radar and EW signal processing.
  • Experience on military, civilian or aviation radar and communication systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex systems.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to innovate and improve system performance.
