General Purpose

Key Accountabilities
Business Development Support
- Maintain an up-to-date personal profile and resume.
- Build positive working relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Support proposals by developing execution strategies, estimating costs, writing proposal content, and presenting proposals to customers.
Business Operations
- Communicate team resource loading and skill requirements to direct supervisor or Discipline Manager.
- Ensure project coverage during vacations and unplanned absences.
- Mentor/train and assist in the delivery of training.
- Facilitate smooth operations with adherence to health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Technical Competency
- Ensure adherence to accepted engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Support the standardization of design documents and specifications.
- Demonstrate expertise in design & selection of rotating equipment for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel design code ASME VIII and comprehensive understanding of associated requirements (e.g., PWHT, NDE, insulation, wind loads, etc.).
- Manage development and technical checking of specifications for static equipment.
- Engage in interdisciplinary coordination and support client workshops focusing on design reviews and quality assurance.
- Demonstrate capability to oversee project deliverables and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Project Execution
- Participate in project execution strategy and planning.
- Coordinate with various disciplines to align project scope, cost, and timeline expectations.
- Support project change management processes and ensure proactive quality monitoring.
Project Deliverables
- Compile data to prepare engineering studies and recommendations.
- Address technical issues, present solutions, and secure customer approval for technical queries.
Procurement Support
- Leverage information for equipment specifications, participate in bid clarifications, and evaluate vendor documentation.
- Authorize and oversee inter-discipline vendor reviews and certification activities.
Site Support
- Collaborate with site personnel to resolve engineering/design issues.
- Develop plans for construction, testing, and commissioning.
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (Essential)
- 4 or 5-year technical degree in science or engineering.
- Licensed with a local engineering governing body, as required by law.
Job Specific Knowledge / Experience (Essential)
- Typically has 15+ years of relevant discipline experience with strong regulatory, code, and industry standards knowledge.
- Skilled in project cost estimation and proposal writing.
Decision Making
- Empowered to make decisions within company practices; complex decisions referred to higher management.
Supervision Authority
- Typically manages up to 10 direct reports, ensuring technical accuracy and project alignment.
Communication
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inform and persuade on complex matters.
Systems & Tools (Essential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
