As a PreFab Solution Architect, you will work on projects of medium to high technical and commercial complexity. Your primary responsibilities include supporting early selling stages by providing expertise on the company's system and architecture platform, understanding customer business requirements, and using validated architecture designs to bring a differentiating value proposition. You will also help explain and demonstrate the technical advantages of the architecture and address deep technical questions on the integration and compatibility of components within an architecture. Your segment focus will primarily be on Data Center Systems and Prefabricated Modular Data Centers.
Main Responsibilities:
Capitalizing on in-depth knowledge of customer processes, applications, and decision criteria in the segment, the Solution Architect works closely with sales teams within Europe and South America to deliver a differentiating value proposition for customers by leveraging the complete company's offer portfolio (Multi BU / Tier 3 solutions): electrical, mechanical, structural, and fire systems.
The Solution Architect has the following responsibilities:
- Understand the customer's segment-specific business challenges, processes, needs, requirements, and constraints to propose the best solutions.
- Support the sales force and customers as a trusted advisor, technical consultant, and process expert to implement company's cross-domain segment solutions.
- Define, use, customize, and create Tested, Validated & Documented Architectures (TVDA) to meet customer requirements and provide a differentiating value proposition, designing optimized and valid architectures that fulfill the functional specification.
- Help establish solution strategy and implement best practices.
- Review customer RFQ and create the Compliance, Deviations, and Exceptions list.
- Influence customer RFQ, translating it into possible technological solutions.
- Provide complex technical designs including technical proposals to be included in commercial proposals.
- Coordinate internally with the Business Units involved in the tendering stage.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of customer processes, applications, and decision criteria in the segment.
- Collaborate with clients and the development team to arrive at recommended solutions and provide direct support in meetings and presentations.
- Present recommended solutions to clients for validation and improvement.
- Maintain fundamental knowledge of the company's products and their applications.
- Stay informed about technological developments and applications to initiate enhanced solutions.
- Identify and promote actions for the development of technological solutions for customers.
- Communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders including customers, company entities, and factories.
Main interactions:
- Reports to the C&SP One Solution Technology and Engineering center MEA
- Internal: Sales Manager, Opportunity Leader, Intra Group suppliers, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality
- External: Customers and Outside Group suppliers
What's in it for me?
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline; Electrical Engineering is preferable.
- 10+ years of experience in the Data Center Industry including but not limited to Secure Power Systems, Cooling systems, Electrical, and Mechanical installations.
- Certification in Uptime and/or Data Center Dynamics or demonstrated similar knowledge and experience.
- Previous customer-facing roles preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a group setting; team-oriented and results-driven.

- Knowledge of the company's offers and applications: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Low voltage electrical panels, MV equipment, Cooling units, etc.
- Proficient with user-level computer tools: Uninet, SE Design Portal, ISX.
- Familiar with Building Information Modelling and BIM tools (e.g., REVIT).
- English fluency (C1 level) is a must.
