Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in managing and optimizing Oracle databases for our clients
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide customized solutions to meet their database requirements
- Design, implement, and maintain database structures and schemas
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Conduct regular database maintenance and upgrades
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle database technologies and trends
- Provide training and support to junior DBAs and other team members
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with other systems
- Keep accurate documentation of database configurations, procedures, and processes
- Participate in project planning and provide input on database requirements and timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
- Knowledge in Oracle versions 12c and 19c and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Ability to perform Oracle patches and upgrades along with backup and restoration
- Knowledge of high availability (RAC), standby (Data Guard), and backup and recovery (RMAN)
- Experience tuning SQL and PL/SQL using AWR, ASH
- Experience with Database Monitoring tools, documenting database policies, procedures, and standards
- Experience in DB migration between various OSs
- Knowledge of Oracle security parameter settings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, good multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills within groups and teams
- Ability to provide off-hour support and on-call required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage/monitor databases via OEM
- Knowledge of Database Vault & Audit Vault, DB firewall, and encryption wallets
- Knowledge of Golden Gate installation & monitoring, performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of Instance & SQL tuning, analyzing AWR / ASH / ADDM, SQL tuning skill extract execution plan & fix slow queries
- Exadata management
- Knowledge of OCI EXACS, DBAAS, etc.
- Knowledge of ZDLA is a plus
- Super cluster management is a plus
