Project Control
- Ensure baseline schedule follow-up and monitoring, performance reporting, baseline change control assessment, risk management, and earned value management guidance and tools.
- Advise on the application of effective planning techniques and controls, including earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, and critical path analysis.
- Support program integration, governance, formats, plan optimization, and project controls best practices.
- Define Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure successful project delivery.
- Actively develop integrated project schedules that reflect all interface milestones, feedstock availability, and activity durations from multiple contractor schedules, while assessing changes to the integrated schedule.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with program requirements in respect of contractual obligations.
- Oversee contract, procurement, planning, and scheduling activities, ensuring adherence to company requirements.
- Assist the Project Control Manager with contractual and commercial matters to protect company interests.
- Coordinate and attend internal and external project reviews and relevant meetings.
- Adhere to and keep updated with company and project procedures.
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and report progress, actuals, forecasts, and variances through weekly/monthly reporting.
- Ensure consistent application of project controls processes across the project to manage cost and schedule performance effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager and other discipline managers to enhance project potential.
- Review Project Baseline Schedule compliance with Contract Schedule requirements and overall Project schedule.
- Instruct reviews and analyses of the Project Schedule, generating reports that highlight slippage, concerns, and forecasts.
- Manage the process of Progress Certification and Invoice Payment under the Contract, ensuring appropriate certification for milestones and completion activities.
Internal Control
- Develop and enhance project control procedures, systems, and tools.
- Work continuously with Project Management Teams to integrate improvement opportunities into standard project control methods.
- Advocate for project control principles to enhance project operations management.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role on mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Experience in ADNOC and offshore projects is required.
- Previous PMC experience is necessary.
- Experience in FEED and EPC phases is required.
- Professional certifications such as PMP and CCP are preferred but not mandatory.
Technical Competencies
- Strong skills in project control including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control.
- Comprehensive understanding of schedule, cost, and risk analysis tools and techniques.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Oil & Gas business operations.
- Proficiency in planning and implementation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of principles, policies, procedures, and internal processes related to project control transactions.
