This position involves comprehensive management of the PMC Engineering group, overseeing contractor operations during the Engineering and Procurement phases of projects. Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day work allocation and supervision of the PMC Engineering group.
- Ensure PMC Engineering personnel possess the necessary competencies for their roles.
- Lead the development and implementation of engineering processes, procedures, and systems for the Engineering group.
- Resource the Engineering group appropriately to meet PMC Contract requirements.
- Provide independent Project Management Consultancy services related to risk assessments and project progress during Engineering and Procurement phases at Contractor's offices.
- Participate in design reviews considering factors such as constructability, testability, operability, maintainability, environmental concerns, safety, and material selection.
- Ensure proper coordination and processing of vendor documents.
- Secure Owner approvals for Engineering designs as per Contract requirements.
- Manage daily interfaces between the Projects and various disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Structural, E&I).
- Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as necessary.
- Conduct succession planning for engineering roles, including competence assessments and performance reviews.
- Facilitate development opportunities for personnel to enhance their experience and capabilities.
- Conduct site visits to exemplify safety leadership.
- Develop effective project management practices for the company project management team.
- Lead the achievement of project goals, ensuring adherence to safety, cost, quality, and HSE requirements from award to acceptance.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders during project execution to meet objectives.
- Oversee interactions among contracting parties, owners, customers, and regulatory bodies.
- Address complicated issues spanning different project phases and existing facilities.
- Manage the PMT and Contractor to ensure safe and timely resolution of interfaces.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and controls.
- Work with a diverse, multicultural workforce to resolve conflicts and challenges.
- Conduct Technical Evaluation of Bids, Issue Bid Technical Clarifications, and prepare Technical Evaluation Reports and Recommendations.
- Incorporate field-requested changes to Engineering deliverables where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Experience with FEED & EPC processes.
- Prior experience in PMC roles.
- Proven experience in Offshore & Upstream projects, specifically offshore projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
- ADNOC experience is highly preferred.
