About the Role
The Principal Red Team Consultant will execute and lead Red Team and penetration testing engagements, working with CrowdStrike customers to test their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to attacks against their ICT systems. This role involves coordinating with senior leadership, planning, overseeing assessments, and assisting other CrowdStrike Services functions to improve customers' security defense. The ideal candidate will support, manage, and mentor less experienced Red Team members.

What You’ll Do
- Work as an operator and project manager, coordinating with clients and team members to execute Red Team and penetration testing assessments
- Develop high-quality reports detailing identified attack paths, vulnerabilities, and pragmatic remediation recommendations for both management and technical audiences
- Contribute to the development of the Red Team's capabilities through tool development, research, and mentoring junior team members
- Produce comprehensive written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings for customer management
- Present technical material effectively to both non-technical and technical audiences
- Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking opportunities
What You’ll Need
- Experience conducting Red Team/penetration testing assessments
- Advanced experience with common pentest/Red Team tools, including common C2 frameworks
- Advanced experience attacking Active Directory and other enterprise infrastructure
- Advanced experience with AWS, Azure, and other cloud infrastructure
- Tool development experience and/or experience automating and scripting applications and systems
- Extensive knowledge of attacks on one of the following: Windows, *NIX, MacOS operating systems; familiarity with attacking others is a plus
- Highly preferred security community participation (speaker at conferences, blogging, tool development, etc.)
- Advanced experience attacking networking components (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.) is desirable
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to write and present technical content for senior executives

- Relevant certifications are desirable but not required (e.g. OSCP, OSEP, OSED, GPEN, GXPN, CRT, CCT-Inf, CCSAS, CRTP, CRTO, etc.)
