We are seeking a Principal Researcher in Computer Vision to lead a team in the creation, adaptation, and enhancement of algorithms for various computer vision applications, including vision-language models. The selected candidate will collaborate with researchers and engineers to develop cutting-edge solutions and ensure that TII remains a pioneer in computer vision technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design new methods or adapt existing ones to tackle challenging problems in sensing and perception applications across various domains.
  • Formulate novel concepts and research thrusts to underpin future product roadmaps.
  • Guide prototype development by engaging with end-user communities and industry/academic partners for technology maturity.
  • Lead initiatives to assess the current state-of-the-art in Computer Vision and Machine Learning across industry and academia.
  • Establish and maintain standards of excellence and best practices, identifying strategic opportunities for differentiation.
  • Mentor and coach computer vision scientists and engineers.
  • Present research findings to customers, collaborators, and the research community through papers, reports, and demonstrations.
  • Generate proposals for new projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A PhD in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Over 12 years of relevant experience in computer vision.
  • In-depth understanding of computer vision and artificial intelligence.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Proven experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
  • Contributions to the field through patents or publications in leading conferences/journals (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NIPS).
  • Participation in machine learning competitions, such as Kaggle, is a plus.
