The Principal Researcher in NLP and LLM will manage a team to create, adapt, and enhance algorithms focused on natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLM). This individual will work in collaboration with researchers and engineers from both inside and outside the center.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and develop NLP models and algorithms for Human-Computer Interaction applications.
- Develop and evaluate new algorithms and techniques to improve the accuracy and performance of NLP models and applications.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and researchers to integrate NLP solutions into user-friendly applications and prototypes.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in NLP and LLMs.
- Formulate novel concepts and research thrusts that underpin product roadmaps.
- Guide prototype development while engaging with end-users and industry/academic partners for technology maturation.
- Lead initiatives to assess the state of the art in NLP/LLM.
- Establish and maintain standards of excellence and best practices in NLP technologies.
- Coach and mentor NLP/LLM scientists and engineers.
- Present findings to customers, collaborators, and the research community through papers, reports, and demonstrations.
- Generate proposals for new projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in the field.
- In-depth knowledge of NLP/LLM and Artificial Intelligence.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
