Artificial Intelligence Cross-Center Unit
The Artificial Intelligence Cross-Center Unit is the machine learning powerhouse of TII, working in close collaboration with our other research centers to harness the full benefits of AI across our projects – and drive innovation from new computing paradigms, designing and delivering new AI methodologies, technologies, solutions, and systems that address challenging issues across multiple sectors of the economy – from technology to healthcare, cybersecurity, and government, among others.
We incorporate core elements of intelligence (perception, sensing, planning, and language) in the ideation, design, and prototyping of next-generation systems with human-like intelligence. We build advanced AI computing and scalable AI-based software stacks and hardware systems to deliver significant enhancements in systems infrastructure.
Our AI researchers, scientists, and engineers collaborate to ensure innovative outcomes, from AI theory to AI technologies towards better intelligence.
Principal Researcher in NLP and LLM
The candidate will focus on managing a team, creating, adapting, and improving algorithms for various use cases in the topic of natural language processing and large language models. The candidate will collaborate with researchers and engineers from inside and outside the center.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and develop NLP models and algorithms for Human Computer Interaction applications
- Develop and evaluate new algorithms and techniques for improving the accuracy and performance of NLP models and their applications
- Collaborating with other engineers, designers, and researchers to integrate the NLP solutions into user-friendly and interactive applications and prototypes
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of NLP and LLMs
- Formulate novel concepts including new research thrusts underpinning product roadmaps
- Guide prototype development while engaging with end-user communities and industry/academic partners to mature the company’s technology for field deployment
- Lead division-wide initiatives to regularly assess the state-of-the-art in NLP/LLM across industry/academia
- Ensure that the company remains an industry pioneer in NLP-based technologies through establishing/maintaining standards of excellence/best practices, driving the development of common components/tools/infrastructure, and identifying strategic opportunities for developing differentiators within the competitive landscape
- Coach/mentor NLP/LLM scientists/engineers
- Present your work to customers, collaborators, and the research community through papers, reports, demonstrations
- Generate proposals for new projects
Qualifications and Experience
- A PhD in computer science, mathematics, or related fields
- 12+ years' experience in the field
- In-depth understanding of NLP/LLM
- In-depth understanding of Artificial Intelligence
- Proficiency with Python
- Proven experience with TensorFlow/Keras/Pytorch
