Responsibilities:

Research Leadership & Technical Direction:
Identify breakthrough opportunities across the robotics stack and emerging AI paradigms; translate research insights into impactful and feasible product roadmap initiatives; publish at leading conferences and drive patent innovation.

Perception & AI:
Architect multi-modal perception systems integrating various sensing technologies; lead research in 3D scene understanding and develop real-time AI architectures for robotic perception.

State Estimation & Sensor Fusion:
Design robust SLAM systems; advance probabilistic and learning-based sensor fusion; oversee calibration, validation, and benchmarking frameworks.

Motion Planning & Control:
Build planning frameworks for dynamic environments; lead research in advanced control methods; drive trajectory optimization for robotic motion generation.

System Integration & Deployment:
Own end-to-end integration of systems; establish engineering standards; lead simulation and deployment optimization for onboard compute systems.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent research experience.
- 10+ years of robotics research and engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in C++, Python, ROS, and ROS2, with experience in real-time safety-critical systems.
- Proven leadership managing high performing engineering or research teams.
- Experience taking robotics solutions from prototype to field deployment.
- Strong communication skills across technical, product, and executive stakeholders.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and GPU computing platforms.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is required.
