As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will design, develop, and govern the solution architecture of the Group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies, ensuring a balance between functional requirements and business objectives. You will engage at the strategic enterprise level while being responsible for the architecture implemented by individual projects.
In the role, you will:
- Lead the definition and governance of new corporate IT standards and practices by analyzing competing technologies and assessing their strategic significance.
- Scout market advancements and new business innovations, determining their relation to our IT strategy and leading efforts to amend or create assets to reflect changes.
- Lead solution architecture development for new initiatives and vendor acquisitions, ensuring quality and alignment with agile architecture practices.
- Provide expert advice and lead solution design reviews, guiding projects on architectural standards and exception requests.
- Offer architecture and technology leadership to development teams and manage the overall architecture and solution discoveries.
- Manage and inspire Solutions Architects and lead a wider team of experts and managers.
- Own and maintain the architecture roadmap for large projects and oversee development of technical enablers and quality improvements.
Requirements
- Degree (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or an IT-related discipline.
- Technical leadership experience in guiding technical architects and developers, influencing plans based on architectural constraints.
- Comprehensive knowledge of technologies such as Java, Cloud, React, and automation frameworks.
- Understanding of agile methodologies like SCRUM and industry-standard software modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of architecture styles including microservices and cloud-native applications, ensuring robust solutions.
- Significant experience in major systems architecture to develop scalable solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and MS Azure.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in CI/CD practices.
- Certifications: AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect preferred.
