Position

As a member of the Support organization, your focus will be to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while advocating for customer needs. This role involves resolving post-sales non-technical inquiries and technical questions about the use and troubleshooting of Oracle's Electronic Support Services. You will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, facilitating customer relationships with Support, and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

The candidate must possess strong business communication skills, effective presentation skills, and a passion for participating in business growth with proficient technical skills in areas including:

  • Database Administration:

    • 11g/12c/19c RDBMS issues and DBA activities
    • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases
    • Backup and recovery strategies
  • Migration and Upgrades:

    • Performing database migrations and upgrades using various methods
    • Oracle Data Guard setup
  • Performance Tuning:

    • Troubleshooting performance issues, SQL tuning, and utilizing performance utilities like AWR and ADDM
  • Systems Skills:

    • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud IaaS, engineered systems, and Solaris OS administration

The candidate should be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work with minimal guidance. Successful performance requires autonomy in solving complex, critical customer issues and providing expert technical advice.

Fluent communication skills are essential for effective engagement with customers and internal teams.
