Position

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the company customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services.

A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal company employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues. The candidate should have strong business communication skills with sales, pre-sales, and technical account managers, as well as customers.

You will be involved in various tasks including Database Administration, Backup and Recovery, Company Utilities, Migration/Upgrades, Database Security, and Performance Tuning.

As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. You will perform assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and report to management on customer status and technical matters regularly. The Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and company employees to provide expert technical advice and is committed to CSS scope of services. This includes all technology tasks related to Day 1 and Day 2 for On-Prem customers, in addition to all activities for Day 2 customers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Database Administration including Company 11g/12c/19c.
  • Proficiency in Company Enterprise Manager, Backup and Recovery strategies, and Database Security measures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and capable of supporting the sales cycle by driving discussions for clarifications and estimating effort for delivery.
