The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Principal Technical Architect who will serve as a hands-on technical leader, combining architectural expertise with the ability to lead and grow an AI engineering team. The ideal candidate will drive critical technical decisions, engage in design and coding, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the architectural vision across application, data, integration, infrastructure, security, and AI domains.
- Define and uphold architecture standards, reference patterns, and engineering principles.
- Govern high-level and low-level designs, including service architecture and data models.
- Manage critical technical trade-offs across various considerations such as performance, scalability, and security.
- Lead the AI engineering function by setting the technical direction for ML pipelines and MLOps practices.
- Provide technical depth in AI/ML stacks including LLMs and computer vision.
- Promote responsible AI practices within the delivery lifecycle.
- Translate research and emerging capabilities into deployable systems.
- Lead, mentor, and nurture a cross-functional team of architects and AI/ML engineers.
- Ensure end-to-end technical delivery accountability.
- Establish and maintain a strong engineering culture focused on quality and operational excellence.
- Manage technical discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, engineering leadership, and technical delivery.
- Proven experience leading architecture and engineering teams in large-scale enterprise transformations.
- Strong hands-on technical skills; continued involvement in engineering work is essential.
- Expertise in:
- Cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure
- Data platforms and advanced analytics
- AI/ML systems at production scale
- MLOps and AI observability
- Security architecture and zero-trust principles
- Experience in managing and mentoring senior technical staff.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on stakeholder management.
