As the Principal Technical Architect (Big Data) at Presight, you will be a strategic technical leader responsible for designing, validating, and implementing robust and scalable architectures for our data analytics and AI solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce data architecture and standards to ensure quality, scalability, performance, and data integrity.
- Perform technical assessments to determine hardware requirements and sizing for big data workloads.
- Design scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines utilizing modern big data technologies.
- Mentor and provide technical oversight to data engineering teams.
- Collaborate with development teams as a subject matter expert to enhance data management and processing components.
- Comply with organizational policies related to quality health, safety, environment, and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data-intensive projects as a Big Data Engineer/Architect.
- Strong expertise in big data modeling, architecture best practices, and scalable data pipeline design.
- Proficiency in modern big data methodologies and technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Trino) and SQL.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in software development and familiarity with the product development lifecycle.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience with big data technologies and customer-facing technical roles.
