About the Role
The Principal Technical Professional in Telecommunication is responsible for the design, specification, and service delivery of various communication systems, including satellite, line of sight, fiber optic, phone, public address systems, and the transmission of data from supervisory control and data acquisition systems. This role operates under general supervision, applying advanced engineering techniques to address complex engineering problems and methods. Additionally, the position involves representing the organization in conferences to resolve significant questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials from other organizations.

Responsibilities

• Independently apply advanced engineering techniques to resolve engineering challenges.
• Make decisions on engineering problems and methodologies.
• Represent the organization at conferences to negotiate or solve critical issues.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Serve as a consulted authority for associates and other stakeholders, with a strong reliance on scientific interpretations and advice.
• Manage measurable assets, including assigned staff and budget responsibilities.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of related experience, with average experience typically exceeding 10 years.
