This role involves the design, specification, and services related to communication systems, including satellite, line of sight, fiber optic, phone, public address systems, and the transmission of data from supervisory control and data acquisition systems. The Principal Technical Professional operates under general supervision, applying advanced engineering techniques to solve complex engineering problems and methods. Additionally, this role represents the organization in conferences to address key questions or to negotiate with engineers and officials from other organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Act as a consultant for associates and others, offering scientific interpretations and advice.
• Manage a measurable asset, which may include an assigned staff and budget.
• Engage in decision-making processes regarding engineering methodologies and problem-solving.
• Independently resolve critical engineering challenges and negotiate solutions with stakeholders.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of related experience in the field, with average experience typically exceeding 10 years.
• Proven proficiency in applied engineering techniques and systems design.
