Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and technical support to operations within the fabrication yard, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Oversee your discipline activities, including procedures, equipment selection, consumable choices, and quality control measures.
- Develop and implement programs and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with welding specifications and identify areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor personnel, ensuring their proficiency in welding techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with client representatives and external stakeholders to address welding-related queries and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Extensive experience in fabrication, specifically in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore modules.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes.
- Proven track record of successful project execution with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex welding issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
