This position provides technical support services to Oil Movement and Tank Farm Operations, which includes Process Safety, Quality Control, and Loss Prevention. The role is essential for leading process troubleshooting to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable storage and timely export of crude oil, naphtha, and condensate. This is achieved through the proper and effective utilization of existing facilities. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the implementation of projects related to upgrades, modifications, or new systems in Oil Movement & Tank Farm facilities. This includes interfacing with engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and relevant departments throughout all project phases, from RFES, ECS, SOR, and PIN to FEED, EPIC, and ultimately commissioning and handover of projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support services ensuring safety and efficiency in oil movement operations.
- Lead process troubleshooting initiatives in Oil Movement and Tank Farm Operations.
- Coordinate project implementation for system upgrades, modifications, or new installations.
- Interface with Engineering teams, consultants, and contractors during all project phases.
- Ensure effective communication with relevant departments regarding project progress and requirements.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10-12 years of experience in plants and process design within refinery or oil processing plants.
- A minimum of 6 years in a senior supervisory position, engineering, or technical services capacity.
- In-depth experience with computer simulation packages such as Provision, Hysys, and Pro-IL.
- Proficiency in engineering design packages and spreadsheets like Excel.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Formal training in process simulation or computer operations is preferred.
- Membership in a chartered professional institute is preferred.
- A high degree of fluency in both written and oral English is required.
