Position

The Process Engineer will assist the Lead Process Engineer in managing all process engineering activities related to the IA/PA Upgrade EPC scope. The role involves supporting planning, execution, and coordination of process design tasks, as well as performing first-pass reviews of EPC contractor deliverables prior to Lead Engineer review. The engineer will maintain tracking sheets for P&ID updates, comment logs, inter-discipline interfaces, and process safety actions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform first-pass technical review of EPC deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, IA/PA load calculations, and equipment datasheets.
  • Prepare and verify process calculations including line sizing, pressure drop, compressor operating envelopes, receiver sizing, and dryer performance.
  • Assist in preparation and participation in HAZID, HAZOP, ENVID, and SIL/LOPA workshops.
  • Support brownfield engineering activities including tie-ins, isolation philosophy, temporary bypass routing, and shutdown documentation.
  • Coordinate technical inputs with EPC teams, OEMs (Compressors, Dryers, DCS, ESD, F&G), and the company Ops/PMC.
  • Verify EPC compliance with the company standards, Basis of Design, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare process-related pre-commissioning checklists (IA/PA testing, leak tests, logic checks) and support commissioning procedures, FAT/SAT activities, and system performance validation.
  • Prepare and update PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, calculations, and technical reports, maintaining document revisions through Aconex/EDMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in oil and gas projects (offshore experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and oil & gas facilities.
  • Familiarity with the company standards and specifications is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
